Custom Menu Widget

    I am working on a theme and I need to change the markup of the Custom Menu widget. Is there a way with the theme to do that, without having to write a full blown plugin?

    After a bit more looking around all I need to be able to do is add some extra CSS classes to the ul.menu element. Is there any way to do that without writing a plugin?
