custom member import

Hi,
I’m building a membership section for a client–an engineering organization. They sent me a large excel spreadsheet of their members. Their site already had your plugin installed, but it hasn’t been set up yet.

Members have different classifications, they’d like to have this classification listed on the membership directory. Is there a way to set up custom fields before I import this list so that info will transfer?

I’m not sure if setting the classifications as different levels would work, some members have more than one classification.

I’d also like to import the company where each works.

They want a members directory that shows some of their info, but not all. Is it possible to choose what criteria is visible?

Is this possible with your plugin and perhaps addons?
