Is it possible to replace your maintenace mode page template HTML with my own. I see you have a templates folder. Is it possible to add my own template in there?

Yep you can add it there. The Pro version has an upgrade safe way to add your own html. See this screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/8vY7H4GyXx
