I am using the role manager and category access plugins. I have two sets of public user roles: “group A”, another “group B”. Each role has access to a completely different set of posts/pages/content. The content access does not overlap on user roles. So.. group A can’t see group B and vice versa.

What I am trying to achieve is:

When a user assigned to role “group A” logs in it redirects them to a landing page for Group A, and when a user assigned to the role “group B” logs in it it redirects them to a landing page for Group B. But still if an admin signs it still takes them to the admin panel.

    I could use a little help…well, a LOT of help actually 🙂

I’m not sure since this stuff is a bit above me, but this page may help:

I used this to put something conditional on my home page that only I am able to see.

Working this out is on my to-do list as well… I’ve not actually gotten to the point of researching it yet, but I’m tagging this so that whoever gets the solution first can make it known.

Okay, I’d pay for this service, I need it desperately…any takers?

Don’t know if you ever found you answer but this Plug in does all the work, peters-login-redirect.
