    I have custom jQuery so that when the user hovers over a main menu item, the image directly below the menu is changed. The new image serves as the background over which the Mega menu submenu is displayed. This image switch ability stopped functioning after the last Mega Menu update. Nothing in my jQuery file (jsfunctions.js) changed. It’s as if Mega Menu is now blocking the jQuery hover function on the Mega Menu li items (jQuery hover works fine on any other element on the page).

    My site is http://www.jdaviswebdesign.com/education

    This is a custom-designed theme.

    Hi justmigrating,

    MMM unbinds events which have been added to the mega menu elements. This is done to automatically fix theme conflicts (some themes will add their own jQuery events to the menu items, so unbinding these events allows MMM to apply only it’s own events). The plugin has always done this, but it was made a bit more robust in the last version.

    There are a couple of options:
    – Move your custom JavaScript so that it loads just after the maxmegamenu.js file.
    – Instead of using jQuery(document).ready(function(), try jQuery(document).on("after_mega_menu_init", function() {

    Tom-

    Thank you so much for the prompt reply. I put my jQuery script in the footer of my theme so it loads after the Max Mega Menu script and that did the trick. Whew!

    Thank you again!!

    Jennifer
