Custom image folder corresponding to url

hi there,

been looking for a long long time, but nothing so far.

i wrote a little php extra for wordpress, as the former image uploader kind of annoyed me. i did all the images in photoshop in 2 sizes, ftp-ed them up to a folder corresponding to the articles url and told wordpress to automatically display all the pictures corresponding to the post (including zoom).

on the status bar you see where the hires picture is located at.

works all pretty fine so far.

now i also want to use the beautiful new image uploader of wp 2.8.
is there any plugin or easy way to tell the image uploader to put the images in a order corresponding to the articles url?

example: article url is like the one above.
the lores images should be stored in pix/kitesurfen/herbst-kite-am-brombachsee, the hires in the subfolder /hi.

any ideas?
