Custom HomePage

    Hi,
    New here. If I purchase a theme, and I want to have an additional custom page for the homepage (nothing to do with the theme), how can I achieve that? Preferably when I update the theme, the custom front page wont disappear. Any guidance would be much appreciated. 🙂

    typically you would make a child theme to prevent your changes being wiped out in the event of the theme is updated. In your child theme you would create a custom template for your home page called home.php
