Thanks for your question and the related report of your symptoms. Thanks as well for taking the time to find and apply the ideas outlined in the earlier topic.

There have been no changes in the Settings/Media Library Assistant page or its tabs in recent updates. Your reported symptom is so odd I’m not sure where to start.

Can you tell me the complete page title and first heading or two on the page you see? It should be something like “Media Library Assistant v3.04 Settings” and “General Processing Options”.

Can you tell me the URL that appears in the browser text box? It should start with your site name and end in something like/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=mla-settings-menu-general.

Have you tried navigating to the Plugins/Installed Plugins page, going to the Media Library Assistant entry and clicking the “Settings” or “Guide” links? What URLs appear when you click on one of them? The Guide link should end in /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=mla-settings-menu-documentation&mla_tab=documentation.

You can try manually adjustng the URL to go to the Custom Field tab. Change the end of the link to /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=mla-settings-menu-custom_field&mla_tab=custom_field.

Let me know your results for the above questions/suggestions. Any additional information you can provide will be helpful. Thanks for your help and for your interest in MLA.

Thanks for the reply, everything you ask for matches and the manual enter of the link to the custom field tab takes me to the correct page with my custom fields in it, so plugin is working. I have another site that has this plugin and is all good there. So something must’ve happened during an upgrade. Have tried to reinstall but same issue. Will play with it more tomorrow and let you know what happens.

Thanks for your update. I am happy that the Custom Field tab is accessible with the workaround. I look forward to further results.

Question – when you get to the Custom Field page, do the tabs show up or are they still missing? Is there a blank space where they should be?

    Good luck with your investigation.

Found the culprit, it was the “Magin Post Thumbnail” that was removing the tabs on the page after their latest update, not sure why but is now deeactivated and the MLA is working fine. Thank you for your time and good luck with this plug in 🙂
