This is a bug in 3.4.2, there is a trac ticket already and it looks like a patch is in the works. http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/21829
Ouch – I wish I’d known about this before upgrading. I heavily use Custom Fields on on of my sites which means I can’t update until it gets fixed!

Uffff. I am not the only one! Many facing this bug. i was working in custom fields today and upgraded asa i see update after that custom field didn’t function well. This should be a bug.
Now am gonna downgrade and try it after at least couple of days.

Unfortunately the hotfix didn’t work for me. Downloadet, installed and activated but I do not get any custom fields on my post. I’m wp 3.4.2.
My bad. I’m not worthy. Egg all over my face.
I´ve totally missed the panel settings. Everything works A-OK now after I acivated the custom fields in the panel settings.
This just shows how used I got to my old WP-rig…
