Custom database browse and update?

    Hi, I’m looking for a plug in that will allow WordPress to act as a web based database application – I want to maintain some database entries, as well as make that data available to my users. Instead of coding the whole lot in perl or PHP, I’m hoping to find a plugin, thus utilizing the already existing mySQL database from WordPress, as well as the user database already available.

    Can you be more specific on what you want to accomplish? You don’t want to use PHP or perl, then what language do you want to use to run MySQL queries in order to pull information out of the database?

    You could easily use WordPress’s admin area to put info into the database and then use your own pages/code to take information out. But I don’t know quite what you want to do so I can’t give you any specific advice.
