Custom Block Content Translation

    Hi, I have a question regarding the Content Translation feature in the AI plugin.

    Currently, it supports translating Paragraph and Heading blocks, but content inside third-party/custom Gutenberg blocks (for example, buttons, lists, or blocks registered by other plugins) is not translated.

    How can we translate the content of these third-party/custom blocks?

    Thanks for the question. As mentioned, this experiment currently only supports the title and then heading and paragraph blocks, no other Core blocks or 3rd party blocks.

    We do have a tracking issue open to look at increasing the blocks we support (see https://github.com/WordPress/ai/issues/979). That’s going to be the best place to follow to see progress there.

    I will say we are looking to support as many Core blocks as possible but we may not support 3rd party blocks, as that gets fairly tricky as each block may be different in how it stores content.
