the layout is a bit poor
In what? RSS feeds are not supposed to be read via a browser but via a dedicated feed reader. And there is currently no way to “style” feeds in a feed reader. The individual readers decide how to display feeds.

Well I’m horribly confused by the whole subject. What I ideally want is my posts thumbnail in my RSS feed so that my Mailchimp campaign can use the *|RSSITEM:IMAGE|* tag they provide.
Using the “RSS Image Feed” plugin puts a 150×150 thumbnail image in the feed, but Mailchimp can’t see it. So I don’t know what that plugin does, but I’m guessing it’s not standard.
I just need to figure out a way to get the thumbnail into my RSS feed so I can grab it in Mailchimp.
Have you considered using a MailChimp plugin instead?

I don’t see any MailChimp plugins that will help with RSS. They offer easy signup forms to subscribe. This doesn’t really help me, unless you know of one I’ve missed?

The other thing is that my MailChimp campaign is all setup and running fine. It’s just the RSS thumbnail image that is causing me the problem! I just need to get it aligned left so the text flows around it, I don’t care how that happens, but so far nothing I’ve tried works!
Look in the styles that are being applied to the e-mail template. 99% sure the issue has nothing to do with how RSS is sending the data, the issue has to do with how the data is being manipulated and displayed.

Right, so the fundamental problem seems to be getting a thumbnail image in the RSS feed correctly. What’s the easiest way to achieve that then?
