• When importing a CSV with special characters (accented letters), they show up as garbled text in the table. Is there an encoding setting I’m missing?

    Hi @vilombardi,

Thank you for your post, and sorry for your troubles!
TablePress usually recognizes character encoding, but if the CSV is exported from outdated or exotic software, it might fail to do so correctly. To fix this:

    1. Open your CSV in your default text editor (e.g., Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on Mac).
    2. Make sure the accented characters appear as you’d expect.
    3. Save the contents to a new file. In the ‘Save as’ dialog, make sure that “UTF-8” is selected in the encoding options and that “.CSV” is the file extension.
    4. Import the file into TablePress.

Let me know if this works for you 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tim
