I have searched the forum, but in spite of the many reported CSS issues, this one I haven’t come across yet.
The situation is as such: I run two instances of WP 3.3.1 on the same domain (both with a theme called “Blaskan”).
Here are the links http://www.macostair.com/ and http://www.macostair.com/odd/
While the main site works as expected, the sub-site acts strange. The relevant CSSs appear to be referenced properly each time. Yet sometimes the result is not displayed on the screen. Say, I call http://macostair.com/odd/technology/mail-client-efficiency/ . This page comes up wrong most often – sometimes, it works though.
Even though it shouldn’t make a difference, I’m using “Abrowser”, a brand-free Firefox.
    Steps tried so far:

    • used another theme (to no avail)
    • deactivated the few plugins and re-activated them one at a time (no difference)
    • deleted and re-installed the entire instance (the biggest waste of time)

For the life of me, I cannot see the pattern.
    Clues highly appreciated.
    Cheers, Gerry

Meanwhile, I have tried to reproduce this curiosity in 7 different browsers, and it occurs in each of them. It sometimes works, and sometimes it won’t. So it’s arguably not to do with the browser.

HTML and CSS validation both throw quite a load of errors, but none that would account for this behaviour – as far as I could say.

All right, this issue is either too exotic or not relevant to the majority of WP users. I will mark the thread as “resolved”. I rebuilt both sites in another CMS already.
