CSS only loading on refresh
-
Hello, I’m running into an issue where the review widget isn’t loading its CSS on first page load, only after a refresh. It’s a bit hard to replicate since it doesn’t happen all the time, but if you go to https://www.bestroboadvisors.org/reviews/ and then click into a review, I think you should see the issue.
Thank you,

Hi @csburdick,
It seems it is a caching problem with minified CSS files.
When we load the website first time it loads a minified CSS from this file: https://www.bestroboadvisors.org/min/c9744.css which does not work. When we try the same second time, it loads – https://www.bestroboadvisors.org/min/23784.css. – http://prntscr.com/ireksh
I would request you to clear the cache of the website. Remove the existing minified CSS files, minify them again and then check.
You can also check it by deactivating minification feature on the website temporarily and loading the actual files.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for your help Rohit. I turned off CSS minify and combine, and it’s still having the same issue.
Hi, this still isn’t working. I have minify and combine off, but it’s still happening.
Thanks,
ChrisThis happens when I remove query strings – this plugin is the only one that breaks from doing this.
Hi There,
Try checking with another plugin? I checked with this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-query-strings-from-static-resources/ and Oblique theme and it worked fine on my end. It removed query strings as well as kept the style of the review.
Hello! I’m having exactly the same problem. I’m using W3 Cache and can’t get this problem totally fixed. (I already disabled the “remove query strings” option)
Is there any way that the CSS can be loaded properly? I love the look this can get in a review, but it’s destroyed by this problem.
You can check it out in: https://hornoparapizza.online/nutrichef-pkpz950/
At the bottom, there’s the review score.
Thanks a lot!
Hi,
Please raise a new topic for this. As this is already a resolved forum. It is not good to make the thread long for future readers too. 🙂
