That doesn’t work. Is there something I need to change in the PHP or something? I look in the templates and they don’t have references to the CSS files that I can see. AHhhhhh…this is frustrating.
How are you editing your css files ?
How exactly are you trying to “change the CSS file”? On your computer and uploading? In the Theme Editor? With the theme editor you have to make those files writable (via FTP chmod) in order to keep the changes you make.
link to your site would be helpful so others can take a look. and to echo moshu’s questions, give us more info so we know what you’ve tried and what you haven’t.
It also depends on what theme you started with. The Kubrick theme has some css inline in one of the files and inline will override linked or imported styles.

This article explains that.
Knowing what theme you started with will allow us to help you better, I think.
I tried changing the files in the Theme Editor, and I think I tried FTPing, too. Why do I have to chmod the files, it says the file was successfully updated. My site is at http://www.animacedesign.com/
you’re using Kubrick 🙁
What is it yu’re trying to change specifically? Also would you not like to try one of the 200+ themes currently available for WordPress?
I wouldn’t modify Kubrick, it’s too much work since it images for the background – I mean you can do it, MX54 is a great theme mod, but I’d recommend try one of the 200 or so. You’ll find it MUCH easier to modify.
I noticed that the Kubrick theme is hard to alter. I tried to change other themes that I downloaded and they worked right away, so I figured it must be the theme. Thanks for the help guys, I am going to try and find a theme I really like.
