cross sales – random item

    I need to get a cross sales slider to function on a single product page but since the website is new, there aren’t many previous sales, so please advise best option for use of random product items to get to display.
    I have WP cross sales (also bought) plugin, but currently does not display… not enough info available online, so require direction
