    Hello.

I’m experiencing a critical issue after updating to version 13.2.7.

    Problem:
After updating to v13.2.7, my WordPress Site Health shows a loopback request failure with the following error:
“cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (Code: http_request_failed)”
This prevents WordPress from making internal requests to itself and causes the site health check to fail.

    Steps to reproduce:

    • Update plugin to version 13.2.7
    • Navigate to Tools → Site Health in WordPress dashboard
    • Error appears: “Unable to detect page cache due to possible loopback request problem”

    What I’ve tested:

    • Disabled all security plugins – issue persisted
    • Disabled Widgets for Google Reviews v13.2.7 – issue immediately resolved
    • Re-enabled the plugin – issue returns

This confirms the plugin is causing the loopback timeout.
    Environment:
    WordPress version: 6.9.1
    Hosting: NameHero shared hosting
    PHP version: 8.3.30
    Plugin version: 13.2.7

Please investigate this issue and provide a fix or workaround. The site functions normally with the plugin disabled, so this appears to be a bug introduced in the recent update.

    Hi @mikemp

Based on the error message you shared, it may indicate that your server was temporarily unable to reach the Trustindex servers. This can happen due to a short-term network issue, firewall restriction, or a hosting-level connectivity problem.

At the moment, this error is not visible, and we’re unable to reproduce it.

    The message

Unable to detect page cache due to possible loopback request problem

usually points to a loopback request issue on the hosting environment. This is typically related to server configuration, security rules, or disabled loopback connections, rather than the plugin itself.

    We recommend checking the following:

    • Make sure your hosting provider allows loopback requests
    • Check if any firewall, security plugin, or server rule may be blocking outgoing or internal requests
    • Ask your hosting provider to review the server configuration related to loopback connections

    Kind regards,
    Laca from Trustindex
