critical errors

This week I experienced critical errors on my site. My hosting company (Dreamhost) did some investigating for me and told me that Smush was causing the errors. They asked that I reach out to you before activating the plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @eventide0

Thank you for the log.

The PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error can indicate the class was called before loading or it doesn’t exist, example because a corrupted update.

Could you start by reinstalling Smush to see if it makes any difference?

Download the ZIP file from https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/, then upload via WordPress > Plugins > Add new. WordPress will ask if you would like to reinstall it, hit yes.

Let us know the result you get.
