Critical Error When No Author Assigned to Post

    I recently went to edit a post on my WordPress site when this message appear: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    After some experimentation, I realized this error message only appeared when I edited posts, posts that I had not assigned an author in “PublishPress Authors.”

    My website contains articles written by various folks, hence why I am using this plugin. The reason certain posts do not have an author is because some posts are podcasts, which contain multiple people and not necessarily authors. I have edited these posts in the past with no issue, but suddenly it is not working.

    Does anyone know if this is an error due to a recent update? Any way I can fix this? I like the plugin but I may switch if this continues. Thanks.

    Can you please explain to me the steps to replicate the issue? We will need to investigate this further, but first we need to know how can we reproduce the error.
