Yesterday at the office I could not get my page to load – I now think it may have been a cache issue, but in trying I restored the website to an earlier version. It was all working fine yesterday. I am trying to change things on my website so went into the admin today and it gives me this critical error message but I have received nothing to tell me what has happened. I have tried updating plugins through the hostinger account, I tried restoring the website again, but also nothing. Any ideas what to do?

Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

But the website works…. this is what I don’t understand. The critical error is just when I try to get into actually go into wp-admin. I can’t change anything. I have tried the debug, nothing. No errors recorded on the logs. I remember now did update the PHP yesterday, but I would assume that if this was a problem my actual website wouldn’t work?
