Hi @vhadick,
Have you checked your server error logs? Sometimes they will help.
Did you install it from the plugin browser in the admin dashboard, or via upload (either ZIP file or via FTP)?
Don’t forget to check your admin email too, as you site should email you further information. If you can’t see it in your inbox, check spam/junk too.
Kind Regards,
Tim
Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply! To answer your questions:
I’m currently working to get access to our server portal, which is housed on FatCow – so I will check the server error log as soon as I possibly can.
I installed the plugin from the browser within WP dashboard. I haven’t had issues installing plugins via this method on any other WP sites I manage – is there a preferable method? And, if that was the issue, shouldn’t deactivating/uninstalling the plugin (which I immediately did yesterday afternoon) resolve this issue? Or is it possible something else entirely is causing the critical error, and it’s just coincidence that it happened the same day I installed the new plugin?
I’m asking for the admin emails to be forwarded to me too, as they go directly to our winery’s owner.
Any other suggestions I can do in the meantime would be great. I downloaded our latest website backup from Jan 3 in case reverting is the only solution.
Thanks,
Vanessa
Also, it’s tripping me out that you, the troubleshooting contact at Monster (the plugin), AND our winery owner are all named Tim. What are the chances? 😛

Hi @vhadick,
Haha! That is pretty confusing, as if dealing with errors wasn’t already tricky enough! 😀
Installing plugins via the WP Admin dashboard is absolutely fine – the FTP solution was only as a suggestion of something to try. As with many things, there’s no guarantee it’s the plugin – but it’s a good starting point.
Give us a shout if you need any further assistance. Hopefully you are a little closer on getting to the bottom of this!
Kind Regards,
Tim
