Check out the Feedburner settings for Publicize and click on Email subscriptions. It’ll give you some html to put on your site for readers to fill out a form to subscribe.

Feed Burner is a service owned by Google. Basically, you can set up an account to “burn” (or control) your blog’s RSS feed (check out http://www.feedburner.com)

Feedburner then has an option to create an email-optin form for your RSS feed, and will send your new posts out in an email to anyone who subscribes.

Personally, I prefer a full fledged auto responder, like AWeber, but feedburner is good if all you need are basic email updates.
