Support » Fixing WordPress » Creating plugin for custom forms

  • scienceofspock

    Hi everyone,
I’m looking to build a plugin for WordPress that will allow my team to create custom forms that interface with our private API, and I have been through a couple of tutorials and created a basic plugin, but I can’t seem to find any info on how to write a plugin to create custom forms, or even a basic description of the process. Virtually every combination of words I have searched for has resulted in listings of already existing plugins to create forms, not how to write a plugin that creates custom forms. mildly frustrating, to say the least.
Are there any tutorials out there that deal specifically with creating a plugin that creates custom forms?

The best thing you can do is find a simple form plugin in the repository (the simpler the better) and modify/fork it to do what you need for your specific purpose.

I’ll look into that. Are there any that you would recommend?
