  • If you’re asking about adding links in your text, here’s how:

Type the text you want to make into a link

    Select/highlight that text

Once you do that, the “link” button becomes active/not greyed out

Click on that link button – a pop-up pops up

In the pop-up – add the URL you want the link to go to.

    Click “Save Link”

If that’s not what you are asking, can you explain more?

    Thanks for your reply
I tried that = several times to no avail

What I do get is a copy of hte html link imbedded on the page itself
    such as
Why do we only send cards celebrate some one else’s birthday. Celebrate the parents that gave  you the ultimate gift  – the gift of life

There are two such attempts at a link on his page

    The site is adult scion.com

Something strange happened. The link appeared.
The problem may be in Safari. They (Safari) changed the procedure for deleting the cache and so I may have been seeing an unchanged cache view although I tied to reset
    I switched around with Chrome.

I still did not see the link that looks like a a chain link as per the codex

Thanks I am at least one step closer

Try clearing any caching on your site and browser. Then try deactivating all plugins and switching to the default theme to see if any are causing that issue.
