Try adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false); to your wp-config.php file just below the define('DB_HOST' line.
To do so, access your server via FTP or SFTP and edit the file with a plain text editor.

Have you tried re-installing WordPress (and, are you updated to the latest version)? It sounds like something is seriously broken in the core files.
If reinstalling hasn’t worked, I would try installing a default theme (Twenty Fourteen), and disabling all plugins. If it begins working, then you can start re-enabling plugins one-by-one until you find the culprit.

hmm added the define line in my config file… the buttons still seems disabled when i try to ‘insert media’ and all.. so weird. gonna look into the spam thing tho now. strange i cant even see it!!
My best guess is, it’s the hack. When whatever got in modified your files in whatever way it did, it was done in a way that broke some functionality too.

Hey guys, did a fresh install and getting my theme back together. Was wondering if you can help me with something else…
to the right, along the right sidebar, are a bunch of post links, meta, etc. how do I get rid of this? cant seem to figure that out.
Go into Appearance > Widgets and remove the offending default widgets.
