• I am wanting to create some example pages with a shortcode as the content of the page when a user installs my plugin. The user can then use this page and modify or copy the shortcode and delete my page. Can anyone point me in the right direction to research this? Examples or urls appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • Could you please provide more details on this requirement?

Are you trying to create a configuration page that can be used by admins? Like a back-end plugin configuration page?

    Hello,
Thanks for your reply. The scenario is this. A user installs my plugin. When they do this, I want to create some pages, not posts, pages that would display on the front-end of their website if they choose to use them. Example pages with things like my form shortcode or confirm page shortcode as the content of the page. That’s it on the page.

I want to provide these as a base for the user to work from when utilizing my plugin. So I am looking for how to create a page that adopts most of the defaults used by the theme and simply has a shortcode as the content of that page. The bare bones way to create a blank page and add content to it in WordPress.
