Hello, polylang team!

I am the Author of the Ultimate author box plugin.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-author-box-lite/

I was wondering if I could get some help making fields created with show_user_profile and edit_user_profile be polylang compatible.

I can see that the Biographical Info gets the language-based fields. How can I do the same for any other custom field I create?

Any help or reference is appreciated.

Hi,

There is one user meta per language, saved here: https://github.com/polylang/polylang/blob/2.3.4/admin/admin-filters.php#L119-L126

The form is modified in javascript using the hidden fields outputed by https://github.com/polylang/polylang/blob/2.3.4/admin/admin-filters.php#L161-L172

The user meta is then filtered on front by https://github.com/polylang/polylang/blob/2.3.4/frontend/frontend-filters.php#L307-L309

You should be able to reproduce the same process for any type of field sotred in user meta.
