creates a link not a src

from post editor > add media > link to dropbox it finds the folder I want and when I click the image file, it inserts an <a href into the post, not an image src …

is that normal? the plugin doesn’t really pull images from dropbox?
will it work with GoogleDrive (I don’t have an account setup and I’m too lazy to test)
