Create sub album

    Hi Jacob,
    Today I am back after a long time. How are you?
    One of the old problems has cropped up again.
    During the admin login, I get the option to create a sub-album.
    But when I login as a user, I do not get the option to create sub-album. I have enabled front end album creation. I have also selected user upload roles to “not limited”.
    It was working but suddenly stopped working after the upgrade.
    Please help.

    Do you – by accident – know in what version it was still working?

    If you inspect the page source you will see something like:

    <div id="wppa-container-1" style="....." class="wppa-container wppa-container-1 wppa-rev-7204 wppa-prevrev-7203 wppa-theme-7.1.11.001 ...

    This sayes: current rev is 7204, previous rev is 7203

    This would make it easyer for me to find the cause of the problem…

    I did some tests but it looks that it works. If ‘owners only’ has been ticked (and fe create albums is ticked) the non-admin user can create subalbums of his own albums, if not ‘owners only’ he can create subalbums anywhere except in — public — albums. In this case, only admin can create subalbums. Maybe this is your issue, because on the upload widget, you can select a — public — album to create a subalbum, but the link does not show up on a public cover. I will change that.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

    The site where I am facing problem is https://azpireschool.com.
    Please register yourself and check. I have already done what you have suggested above but the result is the same that with the user login, “Create Sub-album” option does not show up. I request you to please register on this site so that I can send you the temporary admin login.

    In the main menu=>Our Strength=>Student Corner=>View Gallery.

    I registered as opajaap and would like to have a temp admin login to check various settings. Is it correct that you want the create album link only on the ‘create your own album’ cover, or???

    I changed a few settings (Table IX-D7.2, IX-D8 and IX-D16 unticked), changed the owner of the other albums to saxena, and updated to todays release (7.2.04.005).

    I created an album as OpaJaap and uploaded a photo.

    Pls remove the login if you are satisfied now. Everybody can access your sites admin this way.
