    Hi

I have just began to use wordpress. One of the first things I want to make on the website is featured posts on the top of the pages. I have googled 2 hours now, but I cant find any helpful articles, because there has been big changes in the 4.3.1 version

Ive tried to make a post sticky, but it dont helps

The way I want it is just like on the linked example which appears when going to appearance then themes in WP 4.3.1

  • Click the Customize option in the top admin menu bar, you get in the front end of your site or select customize under Appearance in the Dashboard.

The last option for the twenty-fourteen theme is Featured Content, where you can select you want a Slider or Grid (like in your screengrab). and specify the tag you want to use for featuring content.

This is a theme specific feature, hence you didn’t find any tutorials online.

Just what you describes was done yesterday. But it didnt help. The image was too big, much bigger than the linked example. And I didnt saw any possibility to have linked text under

Got it after some days. The tag has to be chosen, but its enough to write the same word in Featured Content, when beginning to write the word there, the same word will pop up beneath and has to be chosen to work
