I have an Astra theme website (agency plan) and added Woocommerce to my existing site. Made a digital product, and can add to cart but when I click view cart I get redirected to my homepage. I went to “Create default WooCommerce pages” but nothing happens when I click it. And I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to make the cart and checkout pages myself, but it’s not applicable to my case since I’m using elementor and therefore not able to insert the [code] into the pages.

I had someone "resolve" my thread after saying "Normally, you can configure your pages manually at WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced." when that's not the issue. The problem is the default pages aren't created- so going to advanced settings and trying to set the cart and checkout pages is useless- since there aren't any in the first place! What I know is this is a woocommerce issue as when I "create default woocommerce pages" I get a notification saying "All missing WooCommerce pages successfully installed" when nothing is installed. Just to make sure there is no issue on my end - here are my list of pages to show that none are cart or checkout pages.

    The Mother of Code

    Hi there!

It sounds like you are running into a conflict; if the pop-up says the pages are created and they aren’t, then something is blocking that process.

What you can do is set up the pages manually. You can find the required shortcodes here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/#page-shortcodes

Otherwise, a conflict test is a good idea. This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

This is best done on a staging site. That’s a copy of your live site, so you can test things out without making changes to your actual site. Some hosting companies offer a staging site service within their hosting plans. If yours does not, there is a great free plugin that will allow you to build a complete staging site with a few button clicks: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging.

Hope that helps. Have a wonderful day ahead!
