Create a Projects page or category?

I’m not sure how to go about this, in my head it’s just an idea running but I’ll be doing a number of personal projects for fun or otherwise. What I’d like to do is create some sort of page which lists the projects with a title of the project, an image of the project to the right, and a brief outline of what the project is, when a user clicks on the link it takes them to main content of the project.

I was thinking pages might be best for this, though I wonder if perhaps creating a category, assigning pages to each category and then using those as the front page for those individual projects would be best?

What do you think I shoudl do?
