Create A 'Letters to Editor' Page

I am trying to create a page on my wordpress that enables me to create posts specific to that page, but that don’t show up on my main page.
I want to create a ‘Letter to the Editor Page’ that would have an explanation of what the page is, and who to contact for a submission on the top, and I want to submit the letter myself in a post, but not have it show up on the main page. I don’t know if this is possible.

Would I have to accomplish this by creating a Letter to the Editor Page? or by Creating another Category?

Let me know if any of you have any ideas that might come even close to what I am trying to accomplish!
