• On my dashboard I got a notification that I should update my PHP version to at least 7.4.
I did update it from Cpanel PHP Manager and now the whole website redirects to the same page – WordPress>ReadMe – It’s just like the wordpress is not installed. How can i get the website back, or if it’s not possible, how do I restore to an old backup that i already have?

  • Go into Cpanel PHP Manager and revert back to an older version of PHP. Looks like your theme or a plugin isn’t compatible with PHP7.4

I tried but it’s still nothing. The homepage is the only one that is working. All the others are that same starting page.
Although it is a little step forward because I set it on inherit mode. It set the PHP version to 7.0. Now I can also edit the homepage with Visual Composer. Before it was only a loading screen.

Pages containing html forms are not shown as edited, but the forms are always shown below the footer.

Note that only PHP versions 7.3+ are supported woth security updates: https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php

With over 100 known vulnerabilities in PHP 7.0 (www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-74/product_id-128/version_id-188960/PHP-PHP-7.0.0.html), it would be ideal to fix the plugin/theme compatibility issues and migrate back to a supported version of PHP.
