• I created a coupon to exclude a category of items in my shopping cart. The coupon doesn’t apply itself to any of the other categories (that it’s supposed to include), it just gives me an error. really annoying. help!

    Hey Nicole!

What error message is the coupon giving you? That’ll be the first clue to unraveling this mystery!

SORRY, THIS COUPON IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE CATEGORIES: DOUBLE DOODIE BAG.

..which we know. we don’t want the coupons to apply to that category- but we DO want it to apply to all of the others. And it’s not.

Being a guy who definately has the same problem, i want to know if there is a fix to this?

    I have categories:
    Shirts & Shoes

    Coupon excludes discount on shirts.

Customer now bought a pair of shoes, and a shirt.
On the cart, he tries to apply the coupon (which supposedly should give him discount on the shoes only), but he gets the error message “SORRY, THIS COUPON IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE CATEGORIES: SHIRTS”

So my question is, can a included and excluded product not be in the same cart when applying discount coupons?
