Coupon code does not exist

Hi, I’m struggling to get any coupons working on the sites. I checked other thread and looks like its happened before but don’t understand what the solution was. Keeps saying Coupon does not exist when clicking apply coupon in either the cart or the checkout. This is the case with a newly created code and an older one. for this latest code I’m trying to offer a % on a type of product in the shop (have input product IDs) rather than all of them and have selected this.
