It would be really handy to expand the control of the country blocking to allow separate country blocking settings between the Admin layer and the end-user layer.

For example – I only want to allow Canada access to the Admin layer of the site, but for visitors, I want to block ALL site access for Russia, China, Ukraine, but leave all other countries’ visitor access intact.

  • Just FYI.
While you wait for that to become a new WordFence feature, the plugin “iQ Block Country” does exactly that, beautifully, and in a quite detailed way. Including considering your front’s wp-login.php, xmlrpc.rpc part of the “back-end”, so you can eliminate anyone from outside Canada from even touching them.
In the action chain, it hangs behind WordFence, so it 100% blocks up up the wp-login/xmlrpc attempts that WordFence lets through on the front.

Good tip – I’ll check it, thanks Caleb!

    Hi bluebear!
We do have a feature request for this already (FB757). It just hasn’t made it up our list of priorities just yet. Appreciate the feedback though! Added your request to the ticket.

Hope you have a great week!
