Could WordPress run a site like this?

    Hi – the current site is nearly all html/css. I don’t expect WordPress to handle the Gallery pages, although if it can do something like that, it would be great. But can it handle the other pages – e.g., the shows and reviews pages, especially with big fonts, pictures and videos scattered about the pages, and so on? And note the banner pic changes from page to page. The layout would probably be re-jigged a bit, I’m sure, but is it even feasible?

    It would take a bit of planning before starting – working out what custom post types will be needed and creating templates, but yes – it would definitely be possible to recreate that site or something very close to it using WordPress.

    The main question is, can you code it?

    WordPRess can handle it. But as @cubecolour stated, it will take a lot of planning. It will take a good understanding of how all aspects of wordpress work. And it will take coding skill…. you won’t be able to point and click your way to that result.

    Well, I think the coding could be a big problem. I suppose I could hire an expert to do it, but… would the end users be able to update the pages in the same style, or even alter it if they wanted to?

    That could be a bigger problem.

    If done properly, they will be able to update and alter the content with the WordPress admin interface.
