Could not insert term into the database

    With the recent upgrade to Event Organiser Version 3.0.5 I’m unable to create new categories, venues, tags and Events only partially work.

    Everytime I try to create a new one I get this error.
    “Could not insert term into the database”

    It was working fine before this latest upgrade. Appreciate some help.

    That error message emanates from WordPress. Can you create other non-event related taxonomies?

    Event Organiser doesn’t do anything with categories/tags in the sense that it just registers them with WordPress, so I don’t think it’s anything the plug-in is doing.

    Nor would I expect a plug-in conflict to be at fault here, the issue seems to be with the database itself. Inspecting $wpdb->last_error might shed some light, but you might want to first check that the wp_terms table exists.

    Thank you Stephan. You are correct, I was unable to create a new category under pages and received the same error message.

    I love Event Organiser and will make another donation because the tech support is as good as the product.
