Could not create directory
-
I updated the Jet Pack plugin and like always I had to modify the Top Posts and Pages so that it would only show top posts and not pages as outlined in this website:
http://www.ramsukul.com/show-only-posts-in-jetpack-top-posts-pages-widget/
After that all you-know-what broke loose and all I could get was a syntax error message when I tried to access the website. After much head scratching and reading on here I found my way to a file manager that listed my plug ins in my Go Daddy account and deleted the Jet Pack plug in.
Bad thing to do. While I was able to log in again I had a dozen error messages claiming that all my plugin were being deleted.
I logged out and back in and tried to reinstall Jet pack and a few other plug in. I keep getting this message:
Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.2.7.zip…Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Could not create directory. /home/content/71/11570171/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/
Plugin install failed.
Today I updated to WP 3.8 in hopes that would cure the problem. It did not.
Under the file manager I can see the pluins and I can see Jet pack but I have no clue what to do.Please explain to me as if you are talking to a total idiot, what I need to do to fix this.
In case you need to see my site: http://www.openroadoutdoors.com
Thanks.
