• I entered my blog URL on a validation link suggested by a forum member in order to correct a problem displaying my blog in IE. I received a list of errors, but I really do not understand how to go about correcting these errors. I am very new to WP, and just got my blog up and running. Formerly, it was operating on Quickblogcast from Godaddy.

I am fairly good at creating pages in HTML, and I have reviewed and understand the significant differences between XHTML and HTML. My problem is that I don’t know where to go within WP to make the validation corrections. Once I am on the correct page with the editable code available, I can find and make the corrections.

Would someone please either explain briefly how to access the appropriate code pages, or direct me to an appropriate set of instructions that will explain this step to me?

Thank you very much for your help, and for putting up with a duffer like me!

  • Look at this link

You have 99 errors and 93 WARNINGS. It is too much. From the above link you can have validation for your other pages/ posts.

Using Firebug you can locate the CSS, HTML, etc., and make corrections and re-validate.

Thank you for your response. I get the problem, and want very much to correct the validation errors. I presume Firebug is a program… I will do a Google search to find it, and try to apply it to locate the elements I need so I can make te corrections.

The references in the lin you supplied, i.e. line number and column number, refer to what, exactly?

    Again, thanks!
