Correct location for translated files

Hi there,

Can you please give me some help. When I setup a template for translation I always have been choosing the “customised” location for where teh files are translated to. This is always in languages/loco/plugins/…

However I see that I also have a whole load of .po and .mo files in languages/plugins/…
Am I right in saying that the location languages/plugins/… is not correct?
