Hi @tdsm ,
Thanks for reaching out.
That API call to api.onsleek.ai is not part of our plugin. It’s likely being triggered by another plugin or your theme.
Our scanner crawls all the pages and scripts active on your website, which is probably why you’re seeing that error message during the scan process. If that third-party script is failing, it might interfere with the rest of the scan.
As a troubleshooting step, we recommend temporarily disabling the plugin or feature responsible for that API call and then running the cookie scan again. This will help determine if it’s the source of the categorization issue.
Let us know what you find.
Best regards,
Antonio

Thanks for the reply. The script was actually a browser extension however we disabled all plugins and ran the wizard again in incognito mode and it still failed. I’ve just tried again this morning and it still doesn’t work.
Many cookies including Google Analytics were still appearing in the ‘Unknown Service’ list. If I clear the cookie list and scan again, sometimes it picks up on some of the cookies but many are still missed. In the service list, I’m seeing this message on some or all of the services when we scan;
This service is not synchronised with cookiedatabase.org
The website in question is https://segfl.org.uk/

Hello @tdsm,
Thank you for the update. I am sorry to hear that.
Did you do the website scan to get the new scanner working? That helps with the consistency of the results. With that said, can you try one last scan in an incognito window and send us the results? Once that is done, you need to synchronize the cookies with Cookiedatabase.org in Wizard > Consent > Cookiedatabase.org > Sync.
Yesterday, unfortunately, we had some issues with the site and it was not fully operational, so it might have led to this issue. Can you please check now and let us know? A screenshot could be helpful too.
Best regards,
Antonio

I noticed that cookiedatabase.org web page was down yesterday and today is very, very slow indeed.
I tried the scan a couple of times and finally it completed and seems to have picked up most things although 2 cookies are still in miscellaneous one of which I can understand as it’s a plugin cookie but I’d have expected it to identify wp-settings-time-1
Ironically on the cookiedatabase.org screen, the only service that has a red cross (“this service has missing fields”, “this service is not synchronised…”) is Complianz however the cookies all appear in the cookie policy here: https://segfl.org.uk/about-us/cookie-policy-uk/
It’s all very weird and inconsistent. Also to note, the ‘sync’ button on that page is greyed out most of the time.
Hello @tdsm ,
Thanks for checking again. We’ve been monitoring cookiedatabase.org and things seem a lot more stable now. You just need to sync your cookie list again, try it a few times if needed.
Keep in mind that the sync request starts from your site, since Complianz works locally, so if cookiedatabase.org slows down, it can affect how the sync button behaves.
About the wp-settings-time-1 cookie, you can simply ignore it by unchecking:
- “Sync cookie with cookiedatabase.org”
- “Show cookie on Cookie Policy”
That said, once the sync completes properly, it should appear as synced as it’s already part of our database: https://cookiedatabase.org/cookie/wordpress/wp-settings-time.
Give it another sync when you can and let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Antonio
