Conversion to Mattytap

I regret that your moderator seems to have “cleaned up” by deleting our initial exchange which I added to another similar thread. I do have the overview to my issue saved, so I will send that here:

Overview: Many years ago with a different hosting service, the site was put onto a Divi child theme. In our current situation, we want to move away from builders and embrace WordPress full-site editing (FSE). Sermon Manager also came as a plug-in with our previous host and we have not been paying much attention to it to know it was not being supported. So, we are needing to make multiple transitions.

To do so, I have staged https://agapewilliamsport.org/ as https://test01.agapewilliamsport.org/. Thus, I can still compare the public site with the test01 site. I followed the instructions to disable “Sermon Manager for WordPress, Version 2.30.02 and installed Mattytap Sermons, originally at 3.4.4 from which I took the screenshots. I updated just now to 3.4.5.

Most of our use of Sermon Manager has revolved around a Divi slider on the Home page, so there hasn’t been much use of the features built into Sermon Manager. We show the last 10 sermons on our slider. Then, clicking on the link takes the viewer to that sermon’s page. However, with our abandonment of Divi, we wanted to explore the native features of Sermon Manager / Mattytap as well as other alternatives, if necessary. I was starting with Mattytap on our staging site and noticed many things that were different. Some appear to be differences in how Gutenberg blocks handles the input fields vs. the input right on the page for Sermon Manager. I notice in Sermon Manager that under “Edit Sermon” the descriptive summary of the sermon is added at the top of a big box along with the link to the YouTube video. This all comes prior to “Sermon Details.” Mattytap seems to have no equivalent.
