Contribution and a quick question

Hello Everyone

I am fairly new to WordPress. Loving it so far. Just have a quick question.

What are some good tutorials/examples to jump start a beginner? Or if you could point me any direction.

Also I made a couple contributions to http://codex.wordpress.org/Glossary and updated the needs adding page. Best I could do since I am pretty new!
