• This is getting old now. I can log into my site with MySQLFront and see all the tables. When I choose the table “wp_users” and hit the browser button, I get one record displayed, that which has “admin” displayed as the “user_login” I tried the password in the “user_pass” column, but could not login. I changed that password to another and saved it but still can’t login to admin with it. I’ve celared my cookies and all the rest of the items in the support forum have been done. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

  • When you change the password in the database, are you using the dropdown to select MD5? Sometimes it won’t work if you don’t. Then again sometimes it won’t work if you do.

Have you followed the tutorial for this at http://tamba2.org.uk/wordpress?

which tutorial? I don’t see nay for MYSQLFront.

The tutorial there is for changing the password, nothing to do with whatever “front” you’re talking about.

In phpmyadmin, when you access the wp-user table to change the password, there’s a dropdown for extra info – one of the options is MD5.

I am going to try a fresh install. But I realized that at no time during the setup of wordpress did I enter an e-mail address. so it couldn’t send me my admin username along with my encrypted password. where was that done? I must have missed a step? thanks!
