Continue Reading Button, Text Excerpt, and Twitter Feed

    1. there’s no continue button by default, just like the demo.
    you need to open lib/templates/feat-cat-meta-top and bottom.php and edit this code
    dez_get_custom_the_excerpt($post_custom_excerpt,”);
    to
    dez_get_custom_the_excerpt($post_custom_excerpt,’read more text here’);

    2. open lib/theme-functions.php edit line 377
    $custom_text = get_post_meta($post->ID,’post_custom_text’,true);
    to
    $custom_text = get_post_field(‘post_excerpt’,$post->ID);
    3. seem fine to me, just like demo, might need to clear cache or transient.

    Hi Richie,

    Thank you for the help! The excerpt works perfectly!
    It’s just that how to set the maximum length of the manual excerpt? Is it not customizable through the Theme Customize?

    manual excerpt cannot be filter since it is your own insertion of the text to be shown in excerpt.
