    Dear Support,

i really appreciate your Plugin and so far, it works good for me. I already connected my Shop with the Facebookpage, the Products are also in the Facebook Catalog.

Now i want to create retargeting Ads with the Pixel, but it needs to have all the Content_IDs of all the Products connected.
I dont know how this is supposed to work, because in the Event-Setup Tool from Facebook, you can only chose that it reads the Content_IDs of the Plugin from the actual Page, so for example i could mark the actual SKU of Woocommerce. But this is not the same as the Product Feed transmits to Facebook, because there it is “SKU + Postnumber”.

So i dont know how to really connect the product-events with the Pixel so that it gets the right triggers.

Thank you very much in advance!

  • Hi @mbelle92,

I’m glad to know you are enjoying the Facebook for WooCommerce so far.

With Facebook for WooCommerce, you don’t have to assign Content_ID manually, this is handled by the plugin.

Content ID will take from SKU of the product, if an SKU is added, otherwise, FB for WooCommerce will take the post ID of the product.

I’m not sure if I understood your goal. Do you mean that you want more analysis from Facebook itself or from the Facebook for WooCommerce?

If this is for Facebook, I’d recommend reaching out to the Facebook support team for clues on how to achieve this.

Hello and thank you for your reply!

Okay. So in the Event-Setup Tool for the Facebook Pixel i dont need to manually assign any Content-IDs for the “add to cart” events etc? Because right now i set that it reads the content ID from the SKU that is displayed on the product page. But i dont know if this is the right way.

    Hi @mbelle92,

That’s correct, you don’t need to manually assign any Content_IDs.

As I mentioned above, the Facebook extension adds events by default, so I suspect that, if you set up the exact same or similar events using the Event-Setup Tool, (and associated with the same pixel/site) then you may see duplicate events.

I recommend discussing directly with Facebook.com support about how using this Event-Setup Tool will change event tracking and such.

That said, you can also test the checkout page using the Facebook Pixel Helper extension for Google Chrome , which can help display information about the tracked pixel events. There, you will see if the expected values are being passed in the Pixel event by the Facebook for WooCommerce extension.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks!
