Content Restriction Unwanted Redirection

    When setting the post or page metabox to configure a restriction, it still redirects to the homepage even when “What happens when users without access try to view the post?” is set to Show Access Restricted Message. And when Redirect User is set and a custom redirection URL is entered, it still redirects to the homepage.

    Any ideas what could be going on here? Thank you

    Can you provide a link to the page so we can examine the redirects? It’s possible the redirect is being performed by the server itself or by another plugin. It’s also possible this is a double redirect: the first redirect leads to another restricted page, which then redirects to the home page.

    Check that the page isn’t cached. Caching should be disabled for pages with restricted content, as caching bypasses restrictions.

    Please note that the Account and User pages have predefined restrictions. A guest will be redirected if he attempts to access the Account page or private profile.
